problemi modem usb help me!

salve a tutti
ho installato ubuntu e ho problemi con il modem speedtouch by thomson!!
quando vado ad installarlo mi da questo errore:
PPP VERSION 2.4.3 SHOULD BE 2.4.0 OR 2.4.1
VERSIONE DEL KERNEL LINUX 2.6.12 OKAY!
NON SIAMO PRONTI A INSTALLARE!- CODE 1
ho pensato che saranno i driver ke nn vanno bene, ma nn riesco a trovarne driver x questo modem x ubuntu :°
