Ciao!
Ho finalmente installato xgl e tutto va a meraviglia!!! (rotfl)
Sono tanto soddisfatto perchè possiedo una ati ( ) e chi conosce xgl, sa quanto sia difficile farcelo funzionare sopra a dovere!!
Il mio problema ora è, che avendo installato la scheda video col drivers dei repo (non potevo altrimenti per avere l'accelerazione) le uniche risoluzioni consentite sono 640x480 800x600 e 1024x768.
Mi piacerebbe sapere come fare ad abilitare altre risoluzioni (almeno 1280x960).

Non vorrei spararti una cavolata..comunque credo che se aggiungi davanti alle altre risoluzioni quella che vuoi e riavvi dovresti ritrovartela...

Quindi dove hai lo fai diventare Per sicurezza fatti una copia di xorg.conf comunque io l'ho fatto ancora sia di aggiungere che di togliere e ha sempre funzionato

Infatte se vedi il file c'è scritto:

"1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" "640x400" "640x350

ma a me le risoluzioni "640x400" e "640x350 non compaiono in Risoluzione dello schermo.
Ho provato anche ad aggiungerle ma niente (come sospettavo).
Purtroppo niente di fatto

Riconfigura xorg. a un certo punto potrai scegliere quali risoluzioni abilitare.

Facendo come dice Tyler riesci di sicuro...ma non chiedermi come mai non mi è venuto in mente  probabilmente avevo la mente offuscata dall'alcool  (b2b)

Risolto. Ho riconfigurato xorg mettendo le risoluzioni che mi servivano e poi reinstallando i driver con l'accelerazione 3d.
Problema risolto. Grazieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
