Dubbio comportamento ubuntu utilizzo cpu

Salve, ho convertito un file mkv in iso con devede ed ho aperto il monitor di sistema; guardandolo vedo che ubuntu utilazza il 100% di un solo core mentre gli altri 5 stanno all'incirca sul 25% anzi all'inzio molto al di sotto (3% o 4%). Nonostante ovviamente non noto nessun rallentamento, come mai non sfrutta di più gli altri core per finire prima?

Per essere più precisi uno al 100% due al 25% circa e gli altri 3%,4% e 0%.

Il post dice 2 o 4, ma la mia versione supporta 8 core (Maverick+Medibuntu).

Se nel tuo file leggi che mencorder supporta i 6 core (nel mio c'è scritto 8 threads), aggiungi:
lavcopts+=":threads=6"

salva e chiudi.

Scusa la mia ignoranza ad un certo punto del file appare: # Currently Mencoder supports up to 8 threads. Quindi supporta 8 core a quanto pare, ma dove devo aggiungere quella riga?

O lo metti nel file come spiegato nel link (puoi anche mettere auto).
Oppure allarghi le opzioni avanzate e metti il flag su usa ottimizzazioni per multicore.
Le ho provate entrambe e funge.
