Xserver non parte

ragazzi non mi parte più Xserver sulla mia ubuntu 6.10.
L'avevo disabilitato dal boot, ma con startx mi dava degli errori ma partiva correttamente.
Da alcuni giorni non parte più ed ho questi errori:

Ragazzi resuscito questo post per riuscire a risolvere il mio problema.
Purtroppo per mancanza di tempo non ho più messo le mani al mio server, ma prima di aggiornare vorrei riuscire a far partire la parte grafica.
Ma posso disinstallare gnome e poi reinstallarlo oppure installare qualcos'altro?
Premetto che ho un pc con Epia 1000 che mi fa da file sharing con samba, print server con cups, minimo di posta con fetchmail, p2p con amule, videosorveglianza con zoneminder e ssh.

hai fatto aggiornamenti di recente ?
dall'ultima volta che era funzionante , hai cambiato qualcosa ? se si cosa?

con qualche dato si può provare a aiutarti

dall'errore che ti da , non posso aiutarti molto

Sinceramente non mi sembre di ricordare avvenimenti particolari prima del danno.

Mi ricordo che gnome comunque era un pò pesantino per la scheda che ho.
Non posso installare da capo un altro xserver?
