Problema individuazione e disattivazione periferica

In un altro post lamentavo il fatto che la memoria dopo pochi minuti si riempe a dismisura e mi blocca il PC.
Dagli interventi in quella discussione intuisco che il problema non dipende dal sistema operativo ma da questo:

Il servizio logrotate è fallito e poi emette degli errori sulla porta usb
