Problema individuazione e disattivazione periferica

In un altro post lamentavo il fatto che la memoria dopo pochi minuti si riempe a dismisura e mi blocca il PC.
Dagli interventi in quella discussione intuisco che il problema non dipende dal sistema operativo ma da questo:

ho dato questo comando sudo cat /var/log/syslog e c'è un output lunghissimo e sinceramente non so decifrare, nè come procedere.
