wide screen ati driver 7.12

Ciao,
ho installato gli ultimi driver ati.
Tutto è andato come doveva. Però non posso iù selezionare la risoluzione massima per il mio monitor lcd wide cioè 1680x1024 mi appaiono solo risoluzioni 4:3,ho gia provato a riconfigurare xorg ,questo è il mio xorg.conf:

Secondo voi è risolvibile?o nel passaggio dai 7.11 ai 7.12 hanno aggiunto un ennesimo bug?

metti la tua rusoluzione nel file xorg manualmente

scusa ma non c'è già?la risoluzione è 1680x1050 non dovrebbe funzionare già cosi come è o devo aggiungere qualche latra cosa?

A quanto pare è un bug dei nuovi driver.

Come al solito il mio ubuntu ha deciso da un giorno all'altro di usare i mesa driver e quindi ne ho "approfittato" per mettere i 7.12. Niente widescreen.

Non solo sono così imbecilli da non riuscire a fare i driver per i loro prodotti ma non riescono neanche a mantenere le cose che "funzionavano" nelle versioni precedenti.

Monitor detection (1680x1050 Resolution Issue) 

As specified in the release notes, "Connecting a display device that supports 1680x1050 to a system running Linux may result in a maximum display resolution of 1280x1024 only being available". (from thread) 

Fglrx driver does not detect some monitors correctly, so you have to do it manually (google about your monitor spec with keyword: xorg.conf). 

For example: Samsung 205BW 1680x1050 monitor needs manually set: File: /etc/X11/xorg.conf
