ragazzi ciao a tutti...sono sicuro saprete risolvere il mio problema...ho appena installato ubuntu su un computer fisso che ha una scheda video ati xpress 200...ho seguito le guide del wiki su come abilitare i driver e succede una cosa abbastanza strana...al primo riavvio con i driver fglrx funziona quasi tutto....se do il comando fglrxinfo riconosce la scheda tranquillamente, se do fgl_glxgears non appare il cubo rotante....Il problema nasce al secondo riavvio in cui parte in grafica minima e di botto non riconosce piu nulla avendo a disposizione come risoluzione massimo 800x600....ho provato penso tutto quello che ho trovato nel wiki e nei topic...come faccio a rendere permanenti e fuzionanti questi driver????grazie in anticipo per le risposte!

Io ho un portatile con la scheda xpress 1100 che è una 200m series.
Ho dei problemi con compiz ma per l' accelerazione 3d va senza problemi.
Io ho kde e la procedura è quella di attivare i driver su Impostazioni di sistema->avanzate->driver con restrizioni
e attivarli.
Dovrebbe così installare e attivare i driver fglrx dei repository.

Non sono un esperto ma se intanto stampi il tuo xorg.conf qualcuno ti può dare una mano

io ho attivato i driver con la procedura che mi dici tu..solo che al secondo riavvio riparte tutto in grafica minima ed è come se non abbia fatto nulla...ora ho il pc in grafica minima e il file xorg.conf è questo:

Guardando nella cartella dove c'è questo file mi sono pure accorto che si sono creati(forse dalle prove che ho fatto) altri file xorg.conf1,xorg.conf2 che ho provato ad eliminare ma mi dice che non ho i privilegi per farlo...spero riusciate a darmi una mano.......
