[RISOLTO]Problema dopo cambio scheda video

Ciao a tutti, ho appena cambiato la mia vetusta ati radeon 7500 con una leggermente meno vecchia nvidia fx5700le...

ora ho un problema abbastanza fastidioso...

ho attivato i driver closed, impostato la risoluzione adatta al mio schermo (1440x900), e fin qui tutto bene...
al riavvio ho però constatato che la risoluzione era stata cambiata in 1400x1050, e anche cambiandola di nuovo manualmente a ogni riavvio il problema si ripresentava...

immagino di dover editare il file xorg.conf, ma non so some fare, ho paura di combinare disastri... tanto più che all'interno del file xorg la risoluzione che mi servirebbe non la trovo da nessuna parte... come faccio?

scegli la risoluzione adeguata e poi clicchi su Save to X configuration file ?

mi sento un cretino ma la cosa del nvidia settings proprio non la sapevo, grazie ancora!!!
