[Ati] provandole tutte il risultato nn cambia driver ATi

Leggendo qua e la pensavo di aver risolto tutto ma ad un tratto si ritorna ai vesa e quindi ho reinstallato gli ati 8.1 con Envy e adesso ce un nuovo dilemma:

I driver sembrano correttamente istallati, il cubo sembra funzionare ma render e fgl_glxgears nn funziona.
ho provato a reinstallare ma niente e se modifico xorg.conf mi ritornano i Vesa.

come è possibile che ti funzioni il cubo quando il risultato del grep render è NO?

infatti, il cubo funziona anche se un pò a scatti ma funziona. e il comando mi da:
glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"

nn ci capisco + niente, che ne pensi?

e inoltre verifica se in "Gestore driver con restrizioni" da "Amministrazione" è spuntata la casella "In Uso"

nn è cambiato nullo o almeno il cubo sembra essere + fluido.

ho riletto tutte le guide e molti forum ma nessuno di esse mostra un problema come il mio.
come faccio ad attivare il direct rendering? ed anche il catalyst?
il comando fglrxinfo mi dà che è tutto istallato.
qualcuno può aiutarmi?

poi apri Synaptic e disinstalla i seguenti pacchetti

glrx-amdccle
fglrx-control
fglrx-kernel-
xorg-driver-fglrx

e installa (o se sono gia installati reinstalla) i seguenti pacchetti

xserver-xorg-video-ati
libgl1-mesa-dri
libgl1-mesa-glx

dopodichè riavvia il pc e all'accensione digita

ora provo a disinstallare xgl.

Le basse prestazioni sono dovute ai driver fglrx ancora non buonissimi.

Con i driver open fai girare Compiz Fusion molto meglio

Se lo sfarfallamento interessa i video, disabilita la modalità Xv per l'overlay:

sono tentato a provare gli open, adesso salvo un pò di impostazione e li provo.
ma Gli Open devo scaricarli direttamente da Synaptic o dal sito ufficiale Radeon?
