Ciao ragazzi.

Ho un problema con la mia scheda tv digitale. Vi posto le varie info che potrebbero essere utili.

Il chip è conexant e viene rilevato correttamente, il problema è che guardando dmesg viene creato un device strano che ne mplayer ne kaffeine riescono a rilevare e quindi non si vede nulla.

Esiste un modo per fargli creare un device come per esempio /dev/dvb/adapter* e affini? Ad esempio questo mi accadeva (correttamente) provando un'altra scheda come la Terratec Cinergy PCI Ht.

Sullo scan dei canali non dovrei avere problemi, con i vari scan e dvb-apps.

Altra domanda. Non sono in possesso del telecomando originale: è possibile usarne uno qualsiasi con Lirc giusto?

Vi posto una possibile soluzione (che a me non ha funzionato :-\), ovvero quella di installare i driver dal repository di Video4Linux

Installiamo mercurial, gli headers del kernel e gli strumenti di compilazione

sudo apt-get install mercurial linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential

Scarichiamo la struttura dei driver dvb

hg clone http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb

Entriamo nella cartella scaricata e iniziamo il processo di compilazione

cd v4l-dvb

make

sudo make install

Richiederà qualche minuto, ma una volta terminata fate il reboot e al riavvio digitate

sudo modprobe cx88-dvb

Questo dovrebbe in automatico farvi comparire l'adapter dentro a /dev, ma non accade.

Ho provato la procedura sia con il kernel di gutsy e il messaggio di errore è "no such device"

Invece con il kernel di hardy l'errore sembra più "cattivo"

Non ci crederai Lord_neo ma con me ce l'hai fatta! (good) Quest'ultima procedura seguita passo passo è stata risolutiva! (b2b)
Dopo mesi torno ad avere la dvbt funzionante! Anche con il nuovo kernel prima di dare i comandi suggeriti non funzionava. Ora per quello che mi riguarda è a posto!

I moduli sembrano rispondere proprio in modo diverso dal tuo, guardando dmesg.

Ciao Lord_neo.
Ho eseguito, dopo aver aggiornato al nuovo kernel 2.6.24-17-Generic, questa procedura, nell'ordine esatto da te indicato:

Scarichiamo la struttura dei driver dvb

hg clone http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb

Entriamo nella cartella scaricata e iniziamo il processo di compilazione

cd v4l-dvb

make

sudo make install

Richiederà qualche minuto, ma una volta terminata fate il reboot e al riavvio digitate

sudo modprobe cx88-dvb

Ho un sistema a cassetti con installato, rispettivamente, in ogni cassetto: Ubuntu Hardy desktop, Ubuntu Hardy server, Ubuntustudio Hardy & Ubuntu Ultimate 1.7 Stable based GutsyGibbon.
Ieri sera, dopo il risultato ottenuto sulla Hardy desktop, ho voluto provare lo stesso procedimento sulla Hardy server dove ho installato il pacchetto ubuntu-desktop per mia personale praticità. Dopo aver aggiornato al kernel 2.6.24-17-server, ho rieseguito la procedura da te sopra indicata. Anche su quest'ultima ha funzionato! Oggi proverò anche con la Ubuntustudio per maggior sicurezza e conferma.

Mi ritrovo segnato sugli appunti linux-modules-2.6.24-17-Generic. Al momento sono sulla server. Vado su synaptic e cerco linux-ubuntu-modules e trovo installato linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-1 versione 2.6.24-17.24 & la versione 2.6.24-16.23. Non sò se ti può servire!

Avrai certamente capito che sono un neofita per cui eseguo i comandi indicati, spesso, senza comprenderne il significato. Domando scusa se le risposte possono essere, per un esperto, quantomeno ovvie.

Mi chiedi cosa possa avere fatto di diverso da quanto indicato. Ebbene una cosa forse c'è e rientra nella categoria chiamata "...alle mani!"
Quando persi l'uso della dvtb ero in testing con la Hardy ancora instabile. Contemporaneamente il sistema lamentava delle inconsistenze hardware. All'avvio avevo sempre un "Errore di sistema". Dovevo da riga di comando startare hal poichè non si avviava. Non avevo nessuna connesione ma di fatto andavo in rete.
Ho risolto aprendo il case e montando la scheda di rete sull'ultimo slot e la dvbt il più lontano possibile da quest'ultima.
Mi rendo conto che possa sembrare strano ma al riavvio non avevo più l' "errore di sistema" e la connessione era rilevata normalmente. Il problema con hal lo risolse, in ogni caso, un successivo aggiornamento!
Relaziono questo poichè non si sa mai! Provare non nuoce!

Fammi sapere i tuoi risultati e se hai neccessità di sapere la risposta del mio sistema a qualche comando rimango a disposizione! Serve anche a me per imparare cose nuove.
Dimenticavo: kaffeine mi dà qualche problema quando cambio canale. Si impalla e devo forzare l'uscita! Quando riparto è tutto ok fino a quando non ricambio canale.
Faccio sapere come risponde dopo la prova sulla ubuntustudio. Se kaffeine dovesse rispondere ancora in questo modo cercherò sul wiki e sulla board "software" una soluzione.

ciao a tutti, sono nuovo del forum...
sono abbastanza inesperto di linux però mi sto cimentando con l'installazione di mythtv con una schede wintv 3000 e avrei bisogno di un aiuto

ho fatto questa procedura con esito positivo:

sudo apt-get install mercurial linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential
hg clone http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb
cd v4l-dvb
make
sudo make install
sudo modprobe cx88-dvb

a questo punto voglio testare la scheda in kaffeine, però quando apro il programma mi trova solo:

Conexant CX22702 DVB-T e non trova alcun canale. non trova la parte satellitare... che fare??

a questo punto spero fiducioso che qualcuno mi possa aiutare perché non so più che fare :-\
