problema con screen: aiuto!

Ciao a tutti;

io ho il seguente problema: ho un olidata L51RIO (penso sia questo il nome del modello), 64 bit, schedavideo ATI RADEON Xpress 1100

Andava tutto bene, fino a quando qualcuno (non io) mi ha toccato le configurazioni in System -> Amministrazione -> Schermi e grafica  (screen and graphics preferences)

da allora non riesco piu a riconfigurare correttamente il mio screen

Ho anche una partizione Vista, percui sono andato li a controllare le impostazioni, e li dice:

Monitor generico non plug and play  (colori 32 bit    freq  60 Hz)

Ho provato a cambiare in un sacco di modi le impostaz su ubuntu ma senza alcun successo...

se potete aiutarmi grazie 1000

io riesco a cambiare la risoluzione del monitor, ma non trovo piu quella che si adatta al mio...

Modifica /etc/X11/xorg.conf (con privilegi di root) e aggiungi la tua risoluzione, se hai problemi c'è il buon vecchio man xorg.conf

posta quì il tuo xorg.conf

sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

quando copi il testo dell'xorg, inseriscilo nel post come citazione (inserisci citazione);
così rimane più ordinato e leggibile!!
