Salve a tutti... ho seguito la guida per i driver ATI opensource...

adesso il mio xorg.conf recita:

allora, ho una radeon 9550.
Ho provato a installare i driver proprietari, sia con envy che senza, ma il risultato è sempre lo stesso, al riavio ho il desktopcompletamente bianco con il soo cursore del mouse.

Allora ho provato a installare i driver opensource.

Ho aseguito questa  guida: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver

sembra che ora funzioni abbastanza bene... c'è un modo per capire se è tutto a posto?

scorrendo velocemente le pagine web (anche quà sul forum) con la rotella del mouse, lo scorrimento è molto macchinoso e poco fluido...

edit:  se eseguo "glxinfo | grep vendor" ottengo questo:

hai il mio stesso output(anche io ho una ati e uso i driver open) per cui va bene,i mesa sono altri tipi di driver...

ho disabilitato gli effetto grafici... però quando riduco/apro le finestre fa dei bruttissimi effetti... lo fa anche a te?

tipo dei rettangoli neri?se si è normale,anche se avevo letto da qualche parte che si poteva rimediare...
pero ora lo scroll delle pagine internet come va?

ah, un'altra cosa... su "risoluzione schermo" mi rileva il monitor come 13", quando in realtà è 14"... e mi da una risoluzione strana, no la tipica 1024x768, ma 1152x768, come mai?
