Appena installato Hardy, passaggio da feisty.
Non sono molto bravo con linux.
Qualcuno sa dirmi qualcosa in merito all'errore?

Non puoi passare da feisty ad hardy senza prima installare gutsy!
Io avrei fatto così:
Avrei salvato la mia home in una partizione separata ed installato ex novo hardy mantenendo la home nella partizione dedicata /home.

Fglrxinfo è un programma di test per la scheda video, se non vado errato della serie Nvidia.
Prova invece a lanciare i comandi:
glxinfo      e
glxgears
e vediamo se l'accelerazione 3D è attiva

Praticamente. Mettiamoci i problemi che ho avuto con l'audio da ieri sera.Funzionava tutto perfettamente poi qualcosa è saltato.Mah.
Ho una radeon 2600.

se non hai installato i driver proprietari (fglrx appunto) il comando fglrxinfo non lo trovi.

se non hai installato i driver proprietari (fglrx appunto) il comando fglrxinfo non lo trovi.

quello che mi sembra strano è che gli dia quel tipo di errore e non comand not found... ???

mi sembra che tu abbia già installato i driver proprietari...come hai fatto?

sia con envy, sia manualmente, sia in automatico!

ecco cosa è successo:
Adesso Catalyst non funziona nemmeno se lo installo di nuovo,
Faccio fglrx e mi dice unable to open display (E' questo il problema)
anche glxgears mi dice lo stesso.
Ho problemi col monitor?
Cerco di fare un installazione pulita (da DVD) e questo schif***   monitor mi va fuori campo (Olidata 17 lcd)
vado in modalità grafica sicura, sento il sistema caricarsi ma lo schermo è nero!
Adesso reinstallo i driver.
Qualche idea a proposito di quel display null!
Credo che  l'accelerazione non funzioni ho dimenticato qualcosa!  :'(

No con i driver vesa funziona. La visibilità è ottima. Ma non ho l'accelerazione.

Ok. L'accelerazione funziona.
Escono le rotelle e fglrxinfo da le informazioni corrette.

Ma ho un problema.
Se faccio la prova da sistema /amministrazione/Video/ lo schermo diventa nero e devo spegnere.Suggerimenti?
