Ciao a tutti

innanzitutto un saluto a tutta la community da un nuovo utilizzatore di Ubuntu
(ho abbandonato la mia macchina slackware 9 anni fa..).

Ho un problema con la configurazione della mia scheda WIFI in oggetto.

è una pcmicia, e inserendola viene riconosciuta correttamente.

al momento della configurazione inserendo ESSID e WEP non ricevo l'ip dal router.

Ho letto molti tutorial su questa scheda e ho notato che con la vecchia distribuzione
di ubuntu non dava problemi.

ho anche provato con il wrapper ndiswrapper con i file .ini dei driver windows, ma nulla.

ho letto anche di provare con madwifi, ma non ho provato.

Qualcuno di voi è riuscito a far funzionare questa scheda?

io utilizzo Ubuntu 5.10 con kernel 2.6.12-10-386.

I driver madwifi sono solo per le schede wifi che montano chip atheros, per la tua ci sono dei driver che stanno sviluppando, non so se hai dato già uno sguardo, cmq posto lo stesso il link: http://acx100.sourceforge.net/

ho provato e riprovato.

il modulo acx viene caricato correttamente, e la scheda rilevata come wlan0.

il problema è che non prende nessun ip, ne da segni di essere in rete.

ora provo a scrivere agli sviluppatori di acx, magari mi sanno dare info più precise.

infine ho rinunciato a acx100 e ho utilizzato i driver di windows con ndiswrapper.
devo dire che funzionano molto bene, attaccando e staccando la scheda 'al volo'
si configura in automatico senza nessun problema, la ricezione è ottima
(anche grazie all'antenna esterna a 7db  )

bene, sono contento che il wiki che ho iniziato sia utile, chiederei, eventualmente, a chi lo ha utilizzato ed ha riscontrato inesattezze o incompletezza, di modificarlo aggiungendo o togliendo....

Inoltre, sto aggiungendo a fondo pagina un paragrafo con i dispositivi testati e con quale versione di ndiswrapper.

per la DWL-650+ (pcmcia) il wiki è perfetto, nulla in più da fare.
