ho installato da poco kubuntu sul mio portatile un Toshiba m60 (SOGNO DA TEMPO DI DISINSTALLARE IL MIO WINDOWS!!! PER SEMPRE E DIMENTICARLO DEFINITIVAMENTE) ma non riesco a configurare il modem interno . (AIUTO!!!! SENZA CONNESSIONE AD INTERNET NIENTE KUBUNTU!!!!!!!!!)...
Si tratta di un  modem Agere. Lanciando il comando scanmodem ed aprendo il file " Modem Data" ho questo risultato:

Leggendo la guida ufficiale si intende che dovrei installare dei driver adatti.
POTRESTE gentilmente aiutarmi a capire quali driver installare e sopratutto come?

Incolla tutto il file ma mettilo tra tag "codice" (il bottone#), mi sembra che manca il pezzo essenziale.

allego alcuni file creati dopo aver eseguito  scanmodem

Sembra che scanmodem non abbia finito di analizzare, ma credo che dovrebbe funzionare slmodem, cerca slmodem-daemon in synaptic e installalo.

sono andato su http://packages.ubuntu.com/ link indicato dalla documentazione su Modem supportati da i drivers ALSA (snd_atiixp_modem, snd_via82xx_modem, snd_intel8x0m) ma quale devo scaricare se uso S.O. kubuntu?

Installalo con adept, cerchi sl-modem

scusami ma devo disconnettermi per usare kubuntu , guardando con adept c'e gia' un pacchetto ls-modem installato va bene lo stesso?

Mi viene in mente: hai guardato sotto Impostazioni > advanced > driver con restrizione se c'è qualcosa per il modem?

Se hai sl-modem installato sei a posto, fai la configurazione come descritta nel link che ti ho dato, poi prova
