[Audio] ubuntu 8.10 non riconosce scheda audio

ciao a tutti
ho installato ubuntu 8.10 su un toshiba del 2006, 1.60 Ghz di cpu e 1 GB di ram. Tuttavia l'audio non funziona.

Andiamo un po' per tentativi: Apri

sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base

  e inserisci in fondo la riga
options snd-hda-intel enable=1 index=0 model=basicsalvi e riavvi. Se non cambia puoi provare (sempre una alla volta):
options snd-hda-intel  model=3stack
options snd-hda-intel  model=3stack -dig
options snd-hda-intel  model=auto


Sbaglio o le cuffie funzionano?
