ti credo, ma sicuramente non hai modificato il file, infatti il comando che mi hai postato è proprio il contenuto di snapscan.conf.

Roll Eyes Per non fare ulteriore confusione ho deciso di abbandonare live cd. Quindi ho rifatto il percorso di quando funzionava e cioè:

Apri il file snapscan.conf

e modifica il percoso

firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/your-firmwarefile.bin in

firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/u34v110.bin

salva e chiudi.

Creati la dir snapscan e copiaci dentro il firmware .bin

e ammesso che il firmware sia sul desktop

sudo cp Scrivania/u34v110.bin /usr/share/sane/snapscan/


riavvia e vedi se funziona

(A questo punto lo scanner funzionava)

Adesso invece ti posto l'esito del terminale:

Forse c'è un "/" di troppo? alla fine di snapscan?

senti, forse mi spiego male. Allora ripartiamo . Tu il file non l'hai modificato per niente . Inoltre non devi usare questo firmware u34v110.bin ma devi usare questo firmware u176v046.bin . Di conseguenza devi modificare la riga che ti ho scritto con i giusti parametri. Ora se non sai come fare praticamente, basta chiedere e ti seguo passo passo ( non stasera ), ma non mi dire che hai modificato la riga, perchè la riga è sempre
firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/u34v110.bin
invece di
firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/u176v046.bin

metti la password e ti si aprirà un word editor ( tipo ms word ) , fai la modifica, quindi salva e chiudi.

senti ma te sei un genio o cosa? è stato piu facile che farlo partire con windows, sapessi quanto ci ho ammattito a trovare i driver per windows tempo fa, adesso si trovano bene ma tempo fa non si trovavano il cd naturalmente lo avevo perso e niente non andava

avrei anche molte altre cose da far partire, ma non so se mi puoi aiutare tipo sincronizzare cellulare, navigatore puoi aiutarmi o ti sto sfruttando troppo?

Ciao! Uso la distribuzione natty, e se faccio tutta la procedura lo scanner mi funziona fino a che non lo spengo, dopodiche se lo voglio riutilizzare ripresenta lo stesso problema  :'(

Perché poi cambia sempre il suo device? Ogni volta che ricomincia a funzionare se digito lsusb ricevo

con XX che è un intero di due cifre che cresce ad ogni funzionamento dello scanner (ad esempio ora è 13, mentre stamattina era 07)

Ciao a tutti,
ho un vecchio scanner acer s2w 3300u che, purtroppo su ubuntu 11.10 nn va (mentre sulla 11.04 si).
mi dava argomento non valido (su xsane).
dopo varie letture dei forum ho fatto la gran parte delle istruzioni:
copiare il file bin su snapscan, modificare snapscan.conf.
su lsusb lo scanner c'è.
solamente che quando uso o simple scan o xsane non viene rilevato.
ovviamente è collegato e acceso.
non ho fatto (come consigliato in una discussione di questo forum) il chmod (perchè nn sono in grado), ma vedo che su molte altre discussioni il passaggio nn c'è.
che devo fare per farlo andare?

ah...lo scanner è funzionante (su xp nn ha problemi)
