ciao uso ubuntu 8.10 ho un problema, tra gli altri, di audio..è tutto muto, musica, audio dei video, non và nulla, nemmeno andando da sistema---preferenze---audio e controllando, è impostato, ma non c'è cmq suono nemmeno facendo le verifiche...qualche consiglio?

hai provato dal terminale a dare alsamixer e controlla che sia tutto non in mute e siano alzate, insomma fai un pò di prove...

si s ifunzionava...poi però ho avuto 9un problema di aggiornamento, e ora mi dice che il sistema è instabile all avvio, solo che le schermate sono troppo veloci e non riesco a capire dove mi dice FATAL e ora mi sono accorto che anche l'audio non và

controllo con dmesg se riesci a trovare qualcosa.. o se no fai un altra cosa riavvia ed entra in recovery mode poi fai Repair dkpg broken (o qualcosa del genere)

ho fatto come dicevi, mi ha dato diverse schermate di controllo, e poi da inseire la password root per continuare, l'ho inserita ma nulla, e poi ho fatto ctl-d ............

Bastava anche premere esc nei tre secondi quando appare "grub loading".
Puoi anche provare per fixare l'audio

vi ringrazio..l'audio ha riniziato a funzionare dopo l'ennesimo avvio
