[Usb] porte usb difettose

ciao raga
c'è un modo per controllare se il chip che gestisce le porte usb funziona a dovere? o perlomeno sapere che chip è così in tal caso lo faccio cambiare?....mi sta dando un bel fastidio, tipo quando copio qualcosa da dispositivi esterni e si sconnette oppure non li vede proprio e devo riavviare il sistema per usarli  (bad)

p.s. il portatile è quello in firma

comunque secondo me non è problema di periferiche usb, infatti anche su windows dava problemi infatti quando collegavo l'hard disk esterno si sconnetteva il mouse, oppure anche su ubuntu stesso attacco la stampante e si sconnette il mouse e la tastiera usb

usb freeze workaround
per me significa che quando si blocca l'USB interviene questo workaround, ma pare che non funzioni....

c'è un modo di aggiornarlo tramite ubuntu? oppure scaricarlo da qualche parte?

Aggiornare il BIOS è già un rischio, da Ubuntu ancora di più.

Questo perchè l'eseguibile per aggiornare un BIOS è sempre un .exe quindi hai bisogno di un live ms-dos (cd, usb, floppy) con al suo interno eseguibile e nuovo firmware.

Io l'ho fatto varie volte su vari desktop sempre da floppy con un floppy avviabile (credo) di win98 (non ricordo più).

La penna proprio magari no..... visti i nostri problemi.
Se si presenta durante il flash???

Comunque rimandiamo a domani, ora devo andare inoltre la cosa è delicata.

Se il flash va male per qualsiasi motivo, il pc va rispedito in fabbrica.

Fatti trovare con pila carica al 100% e alimentatore, poi ne riparliamo.
