Ciao a tutt@,

ho installato lucid su un acer aspire 5720 di un amico di cui non possiedo la documentazione.
Il portatile ha una porta infrarossi che il mio amico vuole usare per trasferire le foto dal cellulare.

Non so nulla dell'argomento perché non ho mai utilizzato questa tecnologia.

Ho letto la relativa documentazione della comunità e credo che il mio caso sia quello della porta integrata.

Innanzitutto non so come capire se entrambe le modalità SIR e FIR sono supportate.
Leggendo la documentazione mi è parso di capire che in genere i dispositivi le offrono entrambe, per cui ho seguito le indicazioni per entrambe.

Non so se la porta è abilitata nel BIOS, nel quale non c'è nessuna voce che la riguardi.

Ho installato irda-utils e setserial.

Ho eseguito i comandi per la configurazione della FIR e per le configurazioni comuni.

Ho eseguito dmsg e ho trovato soltanto queste righe che mi sembra possano essere rilevanti

Non ho a disposizione un cellulare con infrarossi per testare la connessione.

Infine ho installato ircp-tray ma quando vado ad aprirlo mi dice:
Servizio irda non avviato!
È necessario modificare «/etc/default/irda-utils» e impostare la partenza all'avvio di irattach .
Altrimenti provare a digitare nel terminale:
"sudo irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s"
Leggere il manuale di irattach per maggiori informazioni.
Ircp Tray non sarà in grado di funzionare.

Ho fatto quanto indicato ma l'avviso ricompare, quindi immagino che sia un problema di riconoscimento o configurazione della porta.

Avete qualche suggerimento su come procedere?

Ciao sono lo sviluppatore di Ircp Tray che se al momento sono un po' fermo con lo sviluppo. Premetto che non sono molto esperto di quei tipi di dongle IrDA.

In ogni caso ho ho notato questa righe:

Facendo una ricerca ho scoperto che KB3926B è un chipset IrDA. Dunque sembra tutto a posto.

Prova ad avviare irattach così:

Quindi avvia Ircp Tray per vedere se il telefono viene rilevato. Puoi anche vedere ciò con il comando irdadump avviato con privilegi amministrativi:

Ciao Dnax,

grazie per la risposta e per il lavoro su ircptray  :D

Ho provato il comando che mi hai dato, sul terminale nessun output (ma credo sia normale)
Poi ho avviato ircptray ma il messaggio non è cambiato, niente avvio di irda.

Ircptray si avvia comunque ma non rileva dispositivi
Infatti purtroppo non ho un telefono per provare, il pc è di un amico.

Ho provato a dare irdadump ma l'esito è soltanto il cursore lampeggiante.
Facendo Ctrl+C mi viene scritto

Magari dopo irattach bisogna riavviare?

Ho notato un'altra cosa nei file di log del kernel, hai LIRC attivato. Lo stai usando con la porta infrarossi del portatile? Oppure con l'adattatore USB-Seriale che vedo? Non ne sono sicuro ma penso che usandolo con la porta infrarossi integrata non la puoi usare per altri scopi.

Quindi guarda con irdadump se c'è trasmissione.

irattach è un demone che dovrebbe essere avviato insieme agli altri servizi, se non modifichi i file di irda-utils, ad ogni avvio verranno scelte le impostazioni predefinite.

/proc/net/irda/discovery ti serve solo per vedere i dispositivi rilevati, ma senza cellulare non serve a niente.

Ciao,

ho visto che pulseaudio-module-lirc è installato insieme a una libreria che credo sia una dipendenza.
Provo a rimuoverlo e poi riprovo dmesg.. a proposito da quale riga hai capito che lirc è attivo?

Invece non so cosa sia l'adattatore USB seriale... forse una internet key? L'altro giorno ne avevo una inserita... adesso no.

Ciao!
Io ho un acer 5920G e giusto l'altro giorno ho provato ank'io a configurare la porta infrarossi per utilizzare un telecomando...
Alla fine ho rinunciato perchè nn riuscivo a configurarla...
Ti dico però che le porte infrarossi dell'acer sono di tipo CIR (penso che su tutti gli acer sia così) cioè nn sono adatte al trasferimento di file ma solamente per comunicare con telecomandi infrarossi...

Cmq spero che qualcuno riesca perlomeno a configurare la porta  :)

questo mi risolve il problema nel senso che al mio amico serviva per trasferire dal cellulare, il telecomando non gli serve.
