Nessuna rilevazione dei sensori

Buongiorno a tutti, volevo installare su Kubuntu 10.10 un programmino che mi tenesse controllata la temperatura del processore.
Ho provato a guardare l'oggetto di default "Temperatura dell'Hardware" e Xsensor ma entrambi danno schermata bianca.
Mi sono messo a cercare su google e bene o male tutti mi dicono le stesse cose: installa lm-sensors ed esegui una serie di comandi.
Ebbene, la differenza sta nel risultato dell'output del comando sensors-detect

Qui mi dice che non sono stati rilevati i sensori...come posso fare?
Il mio pc è un Acer Aspire 5741G e il processore è un Intel Core i5 430M.

Il BIOS è aggiornato?
Ebbi lo stesso problema lo scorso anno su un HP. È bastato aggiornare il BIOS ed è andato tutto bene.

Come faccio a controllare che il Bios è aggiornato? e in caso come faccio ad aggiornarlo se quello è il problema?

Semplicemente fai così:
quando accendi il pc entra nel bios (premendo canc o F1 o F2, dipende un po' da marca a marca) e da lì, nella sezione generica, guardi la versione del bios che hai installata.
Poi vai sul sito dell'HP e entri nella sezione che riguarda i driver del modello di notebook che hai. Lì nel menù a cascata vedrai scritto BIOS con la versione più aggiornata. Confronti quello che hai con quello disponibile e saprai se devi aggiornare o meno.
Per installare la nuova versione hai però bisogno dell'installazione di windows. Ho girato un po', ma che io sappia non è possibile farla da Linux.

Ho aggioranato il BIOS, come mi hai suggerito, è andato tutto bene adesso. Ho la versione F. 23.
Sono tornato su Linux ed ho rilanciato sensors-detect, e continua a non rilevare nulla.

Cosa posso fare ora?
