Non c'è una combinazione di tasti per accendere la webcam? Tipo Fn+10 ? (l'altra volta ti avevo detto fn+f7).

qui per la tua webcam dice:
Cheese Works out the box! Skype 2.1.0.81: fine after running skype like this from the command prompt: "LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/bash -c 'LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype'libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype" without the double quotes. If you don't have that library already installed, install it with "apt-get install libv4l-0" first. Other Webcams with this chip should work in a similar way!
Però sembra che il pc non trovi il modulo gspca_main che è quello che serve per farla andare.
libv4l-0 hai detto che l'hai installato, vero?

Potresti provare provvisoriamente ad installare v4l per una versione di ubuntu successiva alla tua; questa ad
esempio (seleziona in basso la tua architettura e un server qualsiasi nella pagina seguante; ti scarica un pacchetto .deb che installi con un doppio click). Prova e vedi a) se va, b) se non destabilizza il sistema.
(riavvia dopo l'installazione)

No no, quel comando ti dovrebbe dire cosa succede quando colleghi la webcam e se ci sono problemi.
