Ciao a tutti,

qualcuno sa dirmi se con il mio portatile è possibile monitorare e anche regolare manualmente ( da riga di comando ) la velocità delle ventole.

Anche dopo aver eseguito il sensors-detect non vedo info sulle ventole (di seguito l'output):

e se eseguo pwmconfig ottengo il seguente output:

We will attempt to briefly stop each fan using the pwm controls.

Quello che ho trovato in rete non mi ha aiutato.

Il mio pc è un dell studio 1537 con Ubuntu 11.04

Per caso dopo tutto il testo in seguito al comando pwmconfig ti appare pure questo: /usr/sbin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed?

Sì.
Appare: /usr/sbin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed
Avevo dimenticato  di incollare l'ultima stringa.

Avevo già visto questo link,
per quanto riguarda la configurazioen del /usr/sbin/pwmconfig non riesco e trovare la stringa
MATCH='*/fan[1-9]_pwm'
else
MATCH='*/pwm[1-9]'
che dovrei sostituire con
MATCH='*/pwm[1-9]'
else
MATCH='*/fan[1-9]_pwm'

purtroppo non me la cavo bene col bash 
In allegato ho messo il mio /usr/sbin/pwmconfig così qualcunoi riesce a darmi una dritta sulla modifica da fare.

Penso che il tuo pc non abbia la possibilità di modificare la velocità delle ventole.
Qua http://www.almico.com/forumindex.php trovi l'elenco delle motherboard supportate, e la tua, che dovrebbe essere una P172H o P171H, non figura.

Forse può far arrabbiare alcuni utenti, però sarebbe giusto non provare mai a regolare le ventole in generale  (yes)
Infatti il pc le regola automaticamente in funzione del calore prodotto all'interno 

Sarebbe giusto però poterle monitorare, questo sì
