anche con il nuovo Ubuntu 11.10 ho il blocco del mouse e della testiera.  Il puntatore del mouse non si muove e la tastiere se funzione ribatte un carattere all'infinito. Chi mi può aiutare? sto usando la gloriosa versione 9.10

con quale sorta di pc lavori?

ho una magnificenza di pentium 4    2.80 Ghz  2 giga di ram  scheda video nvidia Geforce fx 5200
con ubuntu 9.10 viaggia che è una meraviglia, dalla 10.04( se non sbaglio) non c'è verso di fare funzionare tastiera e mouse, al più funzionano un paio di click per il mouse e dopo due battute la tastiera ripete l'ultimo carattere all'infinito.

spero che non sia un portatile...

Che dire, ho un PC con M.B. Intel, processore P4 2,8GHz 1,5Mram nVidia GeForce FX5200 Ubuntu 10.10... funziona tutto perfettamente, e lo uso per lavoro 10 ore al giorno.
Dal liveCD funziona anche la 11.10 con Unity attiva, non lo installo perchè per adesso la 10.10 basta e avvanza.
Accellerazione 3D, Compiz e tutto il resto, compreso il collegamento wireless a una stampante HP (qui è servito ndiswrapper).
Tutto funzionante senza smanettamenti di nessun tipo.
Sei sicuro che l'hardware non abbia problemi?

ggi ho provato su un portatile esprimo di fujtsu  e non si presentano le barre di stato.

questo è il file in uso con la versione 9.10 (spero di non fare la figura dello stordito, ma la 11.10 non l'ho installata per i problemi qui esposti.) Grazie
