Dopo aver eseguito il comando del precedente messaggio, da terminale dai questo comando:

sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

scorri il file e vai sulla sezione Display ed aggiungi queste righe:

SubSection "Display"
		Viewport   0 0
		Depth     16
                Modes "1368x768"

salva ed esci dall'editor di testo.

Riavvia il pc.

Vai su Impostazioni Monitor, ora dovresti riuscire a vedere in elenco anche questa risoluzione.

Vorrei solo dire che con il codice di prima, cioè

è successo un casino e ho dovuto cancellare e riconfigurare xorg da tty...

Bene.. Ho fatto tutto ciò che mi hai detto, ora ho una risoluzione da 640 o non so quanto sia, ma meno di 800x600... :'(

Postami il file xorg.conf, forse ho capito dov'è l'errore, poi lo rinomini con questo comando:

sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.old

Riavvia il pc.

Vai su impostazioni Monitor ed imposta temporaneamente la risoluzione 1024x768.

Nel mio xorg.conf c'è solo un Monitor0
