[Risolto]continuano i problemi con Networ Manager

Ti posto il risultato di quello che sono riuscito a capire di oggi.
Ti imformo però che il file messages, non esiste e quindi ho fatto una ricerca certosina file per file con gedit ed ho trovato il file syslog che tiene conto di tutte le operazioni che vengono compiute dal S.O.
Ti anticipo brevemente una cronologia di eventi per indirizzarti.
L'impiegata arriva alle ore 07.55 e preme lo switch KWM per passare a Windows.
Alle ore 10.06 ripreme lo stesso switch per potersi connettere ad internet in quanto la connessione è possibile solo con questo computer, e quì si rende conto che non è possibile farlo per la mancanza del pulsante.
A questo punto alle ore 10.10 riavvia il tutto e si sposta sulla versione 11.10 dalla 12.04 dove si trovava.
La parte incriminata quindi si trova in questo arco temporale che è quello che ti ho postato.

Quelli evidenziati in rosso forse sono causati dallo spegnimento delle stampanti col switch printer; c'è una bassa velocità nella porta (1-6.2) usb 2.0.

Da terminale postami questo comando:

per vedere se la porta usb va a 12Mb/s o a 480Mb/s

Sulla 12.04 mancano queste porte usb, forse hai sbagliato a fare copia e incolla.

Ci sono altre differenze, sulla 12.04 dove c'è collegata la stampante, sulla 11.10 c'è collegata la chiavetta Internet.
No la chiavetta è collegata ad una scheda da 4 uscite usb inserita in uno slot interno assieme ad un modem fax 56k ad una getto d'inchiostro e ad un bus per HD 2.5/3.5

Ho spostato la stampante, ma le uscite USB posteriori sono tutte a 12M
Mi sorge il dubbio che quelle a 480M siano quelle interne, ma in questo caso non posso collegarci le stampanti perchè i collegamenti sono notoriamente diversi.

Se sono interne vuol dire che manca il connettore cogli attacchi che le porta verso l'esterno, gli attacchi per i dispositivi usb sono identici, soltanto che il trasferimento è a 480MB/s anzichè 12MB/s.

Se non è possibile, pazienza, continua ad usarla sulla porta usb 1.1.

Sul mio pc ci sono 2 porte usb 1.1 a 12MB/s e sono poste sotto gli attacchi per la tastiera ed il mouse, 4 porte usb 2.0 sotto la porta parallela e seriale ed altre 2 anteriori sotto l'attacco audio anteriore.

Non capisco però perchè la scheda interna con le 4 uscite USB che ho acquistato per essere una v2.0 funzioni a 12M anzichè a 480M, oppure è corretto così.
Posso fare un'ultimo tentativo, mi dovro sbattere un pò però credo ne valga la pena, almeno per capire da cosa dipende questo comportamento della stampante anche se ritengo sia ugualmente incomprensibile visto che nella 11.10 che si trova nello stesso computer funziona correttamente come pure anche Mint.

Se hai messo nel pc una scheda interna con 4 porte usb 2.0 e vanno a 12MB/s anzichè 480MB/s, vuol dire che c'è un bug nel kernel relativo alle usb; bisogna scaricare il sorgente del kernel della tua versione di linux e ricompilare il modulo usb per farle funzionare a 480MB/s.

E... come si fa ? Il kernel non è forse quello che hanno tutti ? Aspetto che se ne accorgano o ci proviamo insieme? Le sfide non mi fanno paura, sono autodidatta dai tempi del dos 3 e di smanettate e cazzate ne ho fatte......

Anch'io sono autodidatta, assemblo, riparo, vendo pc e componenti informatici e do anche consulenza informatica.

Bei tempi quando usavo il DOS; quando andavo in Biblioteca Provinciale per usufruire di 2 ore di Internet gratis, inserivo username e password in una mascherina per poi usare il pc per la connessione ad Internet, scrissi un file batch che avviava msconfig per disabilitare al riavvio il programma della mascherina per il login, così potevo usufruire di 4 o più ore di Internet, bello no! l'anno successivo l'amministratore di sistema mise il blocco a questo script che lo riconosceva come virus e quindi lo bloccava.

Per ricompilare il kernel ci sto studiando da un pò, bisogna attivare diversi parametri prima di ricompilare il kernel per correggere il bug per le porte usb.

Mi è sorto un dubbio, non vorrei che carichi anche il modulo driver cdc_acm per la connessione ad Internet col modem interno del telefonino.

Certo che carica il modulo ACM, io ci ho collogato il modem fax della US Robotics con il quale per l'appun to ricevo e spedisco fax.

P.s. Non per vantarmi, ma dopo il dos 3 e successivi e win 95 e successivi, ho avuto modo di fare piccole esperienze con xenix e cobol. Poi il lavoro mi ha portato via tutto il tempo , ma ho avuto modo di avvicinarmi a Linux con la versione 7 di Suse subito abbandonata perchè ancora troppo acerba.
Ho ripreso nuovamente dopo poco con la versione 9.2 che è stata un successo per passare successivamente ad ubuntu.
Da li poi essendomi veramente rotto e stressato di Win ho iniziato ad usare linux in modo più intenso e professionale fino ad oggi a cui non intendo rinunciare e non ne posso fare a meno.
Avrei abbandonato anche win xp da tempo se non fosse per i gestionali che necessitano di tale S.O.
Pensa che conosco un Odontotecnico che ha studiato in america e ora pratica quì in Italia che ha tutto il suo studio che funziona con suse, ma non ti sto parlando di openoffice o di scanner, ti sto parlando di Tac tridimensionali del corpo Lastre a raggi x e quant'altro tutto gestito con suse linux.

OK! il modulo driver cdc_acm è per il modem fax.

Modifica lo script connessione_network_manager.sh con questi parametri:

sudo modprobe -r options
sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x1001

salva ed esci dall'editor di testo.

Prova ad avviare lo script per la connessione, se cade il segnale e si interrompe la connessione postami il file syslog perchè il file /var/log/messages non c'è più, ho fatto un controllo colla 12.04 che ho installato in una partizione.

Lo script è stato lanciato con il pulsante per la connessione non attivo (è tutto il giorno che non è attivo perchè sto usando wvdial) e non ha prodotto effetti.
Per far ricomparire il pulsante ho appena staccato la usb e la ho riattaccata.

Aggiornamento: per abbreviazione ho rinominato il file semplicemente connessione.sh

Ti posto il risultato in base a quanto mi hai suggerito

Lo script è stato lanciato con il pulsante per la connessione non attivo (è tutto il giorno che non è attivo perchè sto usando wvdial) e non ha prodotto effetti.
Per far ricomparire il pulsante ho appena staccato la usb e la ho riattaccata.

Approfitto per postarti anche il log dopo la riconnessione della usb e vediamo se c'è dentro qualcosa

Hai provato con Sakis3g al posto di wvdial?

No non lo conoscevo fino ad ora, farò delle prove e ti faro sapere.
Purtroppo anche wvdial mi dava problemi, soprattutto con il modem-fax perchè in fase di ricerca sia con gnome ppp che con il comando da terminale, mi vedeva solamente la porta ACM0 e manualmente poi dovevo cambiarla tra la USB0 /2 e per l'impiegata diventava troppo difficile ed a volte impossibile per i problemi noti.

Ok Sakis3g sembrerebbe funzionare, sai se è possibile creare degli script o dei lanciatori per non dover fare tutte le selezioni suggerite ad ogni connessione ?
