scanner bloccato

la mia stampante/scanner hp psc2110 ha smesso all'improvviso di funzionare (sia come scanner che come stampante).
Ho provato a riavviare, a usare altri programmi (utilità per scanner - skalite - xsane), anche a inserire il dvd di ubuntu e provare ubuntu senza installarlo..ma nulla.. mi dice sempre "acquisizione non riuscita - impossibile connettersi allo scanner". Non credo sia un problema hardware perchè fino a un attimo prima funzionava tutto.. cosa posso provare? Grazie.

Leggere i files di log, cambiargli porta usb, avviare il sistema con la stampante già connessa e accesa, collegare la stampante accesa al sistema dopo che questo è già avviato, provare la stampante su un altro pc, e poi con un'altra distro linux, e poi con windows, e poi con mac os.....

ho provato a cambiare porta usb, ad avviare il computer con la stampante già accesa e connessa, a collegare la stampante dopo che il computer era avviato..niente. Poi l'ho collegata al portatile che ha windows7..niente, non la vede nemmeno quello.
per i file di log ho cercato un po' su google (non sono molto esperto!).. posto il contenuto del file /var/log/cups/error_log ..è questo quello che serve, giusto?

Beh, puoi provare a cercare con google inserendo i messaggi di errore ma, se questo non la vede e quello nemmeno.....prenderei in considerazione l'ipotesi che si sia rotta.
