Installazione NVidia geforce GT555m su Ubuntu 12.04 64

Salve a tutti ho un portatile Samsung RC530 ho installato Ubuntu 12.04 64 (aggiornamento da 11.04). Non sono mai riuscito da installare i driver Nvidia.
La scheda è una Geforce 555M se faccio un lspci ottengo:
Caricando il driver facendo il boot in modalità testuale ho un messaggio nell quale si dice che il mio sistema non sembra avere una GPU Nvidia supportata dal driver 295.59 (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-295.53.run, scaricato dal sito nvidia per il tipo di architettura del mio pc) Si fa riferimento ai moduli del kernel nvidia.ko ai driver riva.fb e nvidia.fb e al gcc.
Ho anche tentato di caricare il bumblebee ma senza nessun beneficio.
Qualcuno ha qualche suggerimento?
