"Impossibile connettersi al server di Cups"hp non stampa

[LoPain]

Salve,
scrivo perchè non sono riuscito a far stampare la mia "hp laserjet professional m1212nf mfp".
Da impostazioni di sistema.. stampanti.. appare il messaggio: servizio di stampa non disponibile. avviare il servizio su questo computer oppure connettersi a un altro server.

Purtroppo, essendo un "prode principiante" non sono riuscito a capire cosa voglia dire il messaggio e cosa debba fare per risolvere.

Listo un po di comandi da terminale... magari qualche buon anima condivide con me la sua conoscenza

eccomi, verificato
plugin intallato correttamente, hplip è aggiornato, sembra apparentemente tutto all'ultima versione....
il problema riguarda: non trova un file .ppd, e io gli suggerisco dove andarlo a trovare.... una volta trovato mi dice che non puo connettersi al server di CUPS.....
non riesco a capire cosa voglia dire

nella barra degli indirizzi, dovrebbe rispondere "It Works", se no mancano pezzi di installazione
(localhost e 127.0.0.1 dovrebbero essere la stessa cosa cioè sempre il tuo pc locale)

Salve io ho un problema molto simile, se vado in impostazioni di sistema->stampanti non mi permetter di fare nulla e mi mostra:"Il servizio di stampa non è disponibile. Descrittore di file Errato"
Non è possibile fare niente, ne configurare una stampante ne stampare perché non ci sono stampanti installate.

Allora, ho provato a fare un po di cose nel frattempo...
Premessa: uso kubuntu 14.10

Io uso una hp laserjet m1522n e la uso solo in rete.

Ho provato a lanciare hp-doctor, mi diceva che avevo diverse dipendenze insoddisfatte, cosi mi ha chiesto se scaricarle e le ha scaricate, ho dovuto avviare il comando più volte prima che finisse di installarmene, infine mi ha detto che la stampante era si installata ma non tramite hplip e me l'ha installata.
Segue l'output di tutto quanto.
Situazione attuale: nelle impostazioni vedo la stampante e posso stampare la pagina di prova e qualsiasi altra cosa con altri programmi senza che però mi compaia l'icona nel vassoio e senza mostrare il proccesso di stampa nella coda. Stampa con successo ma senza dirmi niente! Se apro la coda di stampa anche se non me la mostra vedo comunque i messaggi di stato in alto ad ogni fase della stampa.
Se provo a stampare tramite Adobe Reader mi dice "the document could not be print", mentre Okular si, ma col problema di cui sopra.
La cosa sorprendente è che ho acceso un altro pc con 14.10 per vedere se aveva lo stesso problema, e infatti in impostazioni stampa anche li non avendo ancora fatto le operazioni succitate mi mostra lo stesso errore e non posso installare stampanti.

AAArrrrgh devo essermi sbagliato e ho perduto l'output !!!

Ho risolto in questo modo:

Le stampanti HP a quanto pare non possono sfruttare gli strumenti di gestione stampa integrati di KDE4 (io uso kubuntu) e forse in generale su ubuntu, per gestire le code di stampa e installare correttamente una stampante hp occorre usare hplip di cui però forse all'installazione di base della distro manca l'interfaccia grafica: paccheto hplip-gui.
Per qualche motivo però prima di tutto questo il server di stampa non funziona come si deve a OS appena installato, perché ci sono dipendenze non soddisfatte, ma eseguendo il comando hp-doctor da shell si riesce a installare tutto ciò che manca, poi si installa il pacchetto hplip-gui e si riavvia il pc.

A questo punto nel menu sotto Sistema abbiamo hplip toolbox e da li si può gestire l'installazione della stampante e la coda di stampa e dovrebbe anche comparire l'icona blu HP nel vassoio.
Ora la stampa funziona ovunque tranne che per Acrobat Reader, ma credo sia perché adobe ha interrotto il supporto e se installi l'ultima che era supportava la 12.04 non ti permette di stampare, bisogna usare Okular, anche se in acrobat c'erano molte opzioni di stampa.
