Mediacom SmartBook Ultra 14", problema periferiche

Ho recentemente acquistato questo notebook Mediacom:

Per installarci Ubuntu 16 64bit ho dovuto usare un dongle wifi esterno (perché il wifi di default non lo riconosce), sperando che aggiornando il sistema operativo i problemi si risolvessero, invece noto, nonostante i vari aggiornamenti che non vede:
- batteria
- audio
- wifi integrato (credo sia un broadcom)
- trackpad
- bluetooth
Ho provato a visualizzare la presenza dell'hardware all'interno ma senza risultati credo rilevanti tramite "lsusb" e "lspci".

Molto strano, entra nel BIOS, vedi se c'è qualche voce relativa alla scheda di rete wireless.

Ora lo faccio, mi sembra pero strano perché quando lo avviavo da windows non dava nessun problema di periferiche.
Ho telefonato in negozio (Trony) e mi hanno detto che ho pure perso la garanzia perchè ho installato un altro OS, oltre al fatto che non possono cambiarmelo.
Al limite posso tenerlo come server.

Prima di installare Ubuntu 16.04 LTS l'hai provato col DVD live di Ubuntu se funzionasse tutto?

Per postare correttamente i risultati del terminale e/o listati sul forum basta:
- 1. selezionare il testo del terminale
2. tasto destro copia (in alternativa premere Ctrl + maiusc + C)
3. incollare sul forum negli appropriati code, ovvero selezionare il testo e cliccare su Codice

Ho effettuato la modifica richiesta.
In conclusione, pazienda per i driver, ma almeno posso usarlo come server (e mi serviva un server in casa a 64bit a basso consumo). Ho ordinato la scheda di rete ETH che si attacca a USB (non c'era ETH di default).
Conclusione: mi è andata male, ma poi ho risolto in un altro modo che mi serviva lo stesso.

Ciao,
Ho un amico che ha acquisto il stesso computer, ma non riesco a istallare Ubuntu 16.04, forze puoi dirmi come hai fatto? Riesco fino al splash screen e dopo ch'è il scherno nero!! Ho provato nomodeset e tanti altre opzione, solo acpi=off mi permette di accedere al live-usb. Ma il disco emmc no e visibile.

Ciao ragazzi, riapro la discussione.
Stesso laptop, con windows 10 installato.
Ubuntu, così come Xubuntu, così come Lubuntu, 16.10 e 17.04, partono da live, ma praticamente non non è possibile usare il laptom, nel senso che viene riconosciuta la scheda vide e la risoluzione è perfetta, ma non viene riconosciuto:
- Mouse
- Trackpad
- Scheda Wireless, bluetooth
- Audio
Per poter usare quindi la distro, necessito di un mouse esterno, la tastiera funziona anche se sono svalvolati i simboli (praticamente al pusante - non corrisponde lo stesso simbolo ecc...).
Come vogliamo procedere? Come posso aiutarvi?
Posso fare tutti i test che volete, tutte le foto alle schermate bios ecc... Oltretutto ho notato che il bios è stracolmo di opzioni, ma non per disattivare il Secure Boot, anche se posso scegliere l'ordine di boot e da qui la chiavetta usb per far partire la distro.
Ditemi cosa vi serve e cerco di procedere, di base mi sebra che le periferiche vengano disattivate propri dall'inizio, infatti i comandi lsusb e lspci non restituiscono nulla di decente.
Non ho ethernet sul portatile quindi non va online, ne dongle wifi...

prova la beta della 17.10 tante volte il nuovo kernel 4.13 riconoscesse qualche periferica in più.

Ok provo domattina e vedo. Ma sembra quasi come se il Secure Boot mi escluda le periferiche installando un altro SO. Possibile?
Possibile anche il chipset Cherry Trail?

Ho provato la nightly di Ubuntu, 17.10, ma senza successo... Mouse e Wireless non presenti, non so se anche altro, Audio mi sembra sia abilitato, o meglio adesso l'icona appare ma non ho provato a vedere se riproduce, ma mi sembra di si.

Ciao,
io ho lo stesso netbook ma versione 11 pollici. Ho risolto quasi tutto, tranne touchpad (utilizzo un mouse usb esterno) e la scheda audio.
Per il resto va tutto ok.

Incredibile, esiste qualcuno con il mio stesso problema. In parte il BIOS sembra essere simile al tuo, adesso non ho qua il portatile. Ho letto la tua discussione, appena ho il portatile provo. Di certo ti dico che la Daily di Ubuntu non rilevava niente ma non ho usato il workaround dell'EFI.
Quindi ti aggiorno appena ho con me il portatile.
Il bluetooth? A te funziona?

Ciao ragazzi sono nuovo del forum.. comunque anche io ho diversi problemi con questo Mediacom ultra s140.
Allora dopo vari tentativi ed almeno 6/7 versioni diveper se di Ubuntu e mint.. sono riuscito ad installare in Ubuntu 17.10 64bit con modifica dentro usb avviavile in dual boot. Manco a dirlo Non funzionava quasi niente in ubuntu(audio, scheda video) ma la cosa più fastidiosa era che quando poi riavviavo o spegnevo e Tornavo a Windows non mi leggeva più la scheda wireless .. e dovevo sempre re installare. In definitiva formattone e sono tornato a w10 nativo(per altro in 32 bit, bah) quindi sono punto è a capo.. che qualcuno che ha trovato un metodo efficace? A me su Ubuntu nn serve nulla ci devo compilare e usare terminale. Resto in attesa di sviluppi, grazie
