Buongiorno,
spero di aver azzeccato la sezione giusta del forum.

Ho avviato un extended self test SMART del disco su cui ho installato i dati degli utenti (il sistema operativo è su un secondo disco). Ieri sullo stato di salute leggevo "15 errori", oggi "test automatico non riuscito". Il test "extended" solitamente dovrebbe durare più di un'ora, invece si è risolto nel giro di pochi minuti e questo mi ha un po' preoccupato. Purtroppo non so leggere i dati SMART. Ho eseguito il test sia con l'utility gnome-disks, sia con gsmartcontrol e il risultato è lo stesso.

Posto di seguito l'output completo nella speranza che qualche utente skillato possa aiutarmi.

La cosa che più mi preoccupa è la dicitura dell'errore 15 "media is write protected" nella schermata log di gsmartcontrol...

:) Salve, serve un test hardware sul disco.

Per controllare il disco fisso dai prima questo comando:

Dovrebbe essere /dev/sda il disco rigido, se il device è differente sostituiscilo conformemente nel prossimo comando per verificare il disco:

sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda
Posta tutto l'output completo del prompt col comando medesimo, così di vedere com'è messo.

:) Salve, spiacente portar cattive notizie, fai un backup che sta andando il tuo HDD.

I parametri '1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate 16174664' e '7 Seek_Error_Rate 99794920' sono orripilanti ed il parametro '5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct 376' è brutto.

Inoltre leggo da questo parametro '9 Power_On_Hours 24837' che ha lavorato molte ore, ti fai un piacere a sostituirlo.

Il PASSED si riferisce ai circuiti elettronici.
