scorri il file fino in fondo, prima di LABEL="libsane_rules_end" aggiungi queste righe:

Grazie Magozurlix, credo adesso di avere fatto tutto,la stampante funziona bene,ma lo scanner no.
Proverò a rifare tutto con calma,per salvare non basta fare salva sulla schermata?

Prego, di nulla!

Se usi nano come editor di testo per salvare bisogna premere quei tasti contemporaneamente e poi tasto Invio, mentre con gedit clicchi su salva nella schermata.

copia e incolla queste righe:

salva ed esci dall'editor di testo.

riavvia il pc.

ho inserito "sudo -H gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/40-basic-permissions.rules ,ma non mi apre l'editor e mi dice : sudo gedit ,omando non trovato,devo modificare qualche parola'perchè ho provato con sudo nano e mi apre l'editor,va bene?

sì, va bene nano o cambia editor di testo, usa mousepad

da terminale dai questo comando:
