Problema con ricezione segnale wifi

Salve,
ho problemi di ricezione del segnale wifi con il mio Dell Latitude 3470. Nello specifico il pc riesce a collegarsi solamente se molto vicino al router, mentre con gli altri pc della casa non ci sono problemi.
Avreste consigli su cosa provare a fare da ubuntu?

Entra nel modem/router cambia canale da 6 a 11 o 12 o 13; provali tutti e tre; salva le impostazioni, riavvia il modem/router.

Vedi se hai ottenuto un miglioramento.

Una cosa che non ho detto e che forse è importante è che mi collego tramite un ripetitore, cambia nulla?

Non penso, il problema sta nella scheda di rete wireless integrata nel pc; le atheros danno problemi sul regdomain.

modifica REGDOMAIN=IT a EU

per salvare premi i tasti CTRL o e poi Invio; per uscire CTRL x

riavvia il pc.
