[Risolto] Kubuntu lts, nvidia e nessuna accelerazione 3d

Buongiorno,
sono 3 giorni che ci lavoro dietro ma nulla, installato kubuntu lts, driver nvidia tutto in ordine, installo wine, faccio partire un gioco (tomb raider underworld) e su i5 con nividia gt440 dove ha sempre girato senza problemi ora scatta come un 386, inutilizzabile. stesso pc gira per emergenze una 14.04 e stessa risoluzione i giochi girano a palla fluidissimi. dove sbaglio?

Non ho ben capito se -> sudo apt install dkms - è il comando che hai dato o è il suggerimento del terminale. Se è il suggerimento dai quel comando. Sempre da terminale dai il comando:

se con l'ultimo comando ci sono errori postali.

Sembra che usi LLVMpipe che è il renderer software di Mesa (e quindi non usa la scheda grafica reale).

Non conosco approfonditamente Wine purtroppo quindi non ho un consiglio pronto-uso da darti, ma suppongo che Wine vada configurato a modo per usare la Gpu giusta (Nvidia).

Per caso stai usando un sistema con doppia gpu? (integrata + discreta) ?

sandybridge ha la video integrata, ma è disattivata ovviamente da bios ed attiva solo la nvidia

A parte che il post (o il thread?) non è di nessuno se non dell'OP (original poster), più che altro a me piace dare consigli sensati.

Il problema è prettamente di wine che non seleziona il driver corretto per il rendering 3d.
dopo lungo cercare ecco la soluzione:

cancellare ogni driver che non sia il proprio quindi nel mio caso Nvidia dalla cartella (usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/
come descritto qua:

riavviare e wine utilizzerà il driver corretto per la tua scheda video. testato su wine 7.13
