Fino a ieri sera, da anni, con Ubuntu 20.04 utilizzavo normalmente la connessione WiFi per connettermi ad internet.
Il problema della mancanza del WiFi l'ho avuta con l'installazione della versione 22.04 di Ubuntu.
In Pc ha, al suo interno una scheda WiFi, che ho utilizzato per alcuni anni e che funzionava.
Poi ho deciso di utilizzare una chiavetta USB TP-Link, acquistata assieme al nuovo router(sempre TP-Link).
Comunque, mi scuso se mi ripeto, fino a ieri sera, con la versione 20 di Ubuntu, la connessione WiFi funzionava regolarmente.

Una cosa che osservo è che all'avvio del PC, dopo aver installato la versione 22.04 di Ubuntu, compare su schermo l'avviso:

/dev/sda2: clean, 1679119/32022520 files, 47051501/120069880 blocks

Non so quale sia il significato di questo avviso, ma dato che prima non compariva, ho il dubbio di aver fatto qualcosa di non corretto durante l'installazione.

anche a me con Xubuntu 20.04 LTS all'avvio fa quel controllo del filesystem; è normale.

Per quanto riguarda la chiavetta TP-Link:

rtl8812au/5.6.4.2, 5.4.0-128-generic, x86_64: installed

In effetti mi sembra di aver letto che con la versione 22 di Ubuntu sarebbe stata utilizzata la versione 5.15
Mi sa che con i vari tentativi di risolvere il problema ho combinato qualche c..ta.

è funzionante col kernel 5.4.0-128-generic, x86_64


Da terminale postami questo comando:

uname -r
mi sa tanto che dovrai ricompilare il driver con la procedura dkms col nuovo kernel perchè non è stato aggiornato.
