Vuoi fare una prova? prendi il file xorg.conf di questo, che sembra non soffrire questi problemi, usa kubuntu ma dovrebbe essere uguale. fai una prova con questo, casomai rimetti il tuo.

mi sarei meravigliato nel leggere che hai risolto. 

io mi arrendo, a quanto pare siete 4 con questo portatile e ubuntu, 2 in questo tread con gli stessi problemi, 2 su amdplanet di cui 1 senza problemi, e uno che ha fatto casini, ma ha problemi diversi.
