[RISOLTO] - [Driver] 3D driver su SID + nouveau

Provo qui per vedere se qualcuno sa darmi consigli su che strada prendere...

...non riesco ad abilitare l'accelerazione 3D con i driver Nouveau su una installazione di che uso per le prove con debian SID.

Ho una scheda Nvidia GT440 ed avevo installato i driver proprietari ma con l'avanzamento di Xorg alla 2.1.11 non sono più riuscito a far partire l'interfaccia grafica; con l'occasione mi sono deciso a passare ai driver open.

Il kernel è la versione 3.0.2

Se non sbaglio con il chip Fermi della nvidia i nouveau vanno cercando il firmware.

Dei chip Fermi e dell'eventuale firmware non ne so molto, ma il tuo xorg.conf comunque sta ancora puntando ai driver nvidia, da cui il sicuro errore nel caricamento di Gallium:

Prova a purgare il driver nvidia, se già non lo hai fatto, e a rimuovere lo xorg.conf, che tanto non serve più con i nouveau.

Grazie Janvitus penso che il problema sia quello infatti, indagando un poco in rete, ho trovato procedure per far funzionare i chip Fermi su Nouveau.
Ho però visto che con il kernel 3.1 il problema si dovrebbe risolvere; a questo punto aspetto il 3.1 su sid.
