[Risolto] [Grub] 12.04 64 bit dual boot raid 0 con windows 7

Salve a tutti !
Ho eseguito un avanzamento ( lo so, lo so ....... ) e pare ci sia qualcosa che non va proprio !!
Quando arrivo alla schermata di grub se seleziono il primo kernel della lista il sistema operativo non si avvia: mi ritrovo con una bella stringa riguardante l' UUID.
Dopo un po' ho notato una voce recante " previous versions " e ne ho fatta partire una cosicché mi si è avviato ( pare ) ubuntu 12.04:

Credo che il fatto che lsb_release mi dia come output ubuntu 12.04 sia solo un effetto placebo :O
Qualcuno ha idea di come fare a far partire il primo kernel della lista ? Il raid mi dà problemi con la procedura di ripristino di grub ( ed è per quello che non ho installato ex novo

Ho provato a ripristinare il grub come scritto nella pagina di documentazione ma con scarsi risultati ( ovvero la situazione è la stessa ); la cosa strana è che in teoria grub punta ad un kernel che si trova nello stesso posto degli altri ( quelli vecchi che, in teoria, sarebbero dovuti essere rimossi ):

Penso di sì, ma per sicurezza effettuerò un chroot per verificare

EDIT: per la cronaca ieri sera prima di dormire ho reinstallato ubuntu 12.04 senza installazione del bootloader dando da sessione live il comando:
