Pokèmon Revolution Online NON VA
Ciao, oggi ho scaricato Pokèmon Revolution online, l'ho estratto dal file zip e ho provato ad eseguirlo.
Purtroppo quando provo ad eseguirlo non mi da alcun risultato, ma, eseguendolo dal terminale
mi da un errore

che scheda video hai usato? Da quello che ho potuto vedere, per avviarsi il gioco in questione richiede una scheda video che supporti almeno OpenGL 3.0: ho provato ad avviarlo su un portatile con doppia scheda video, quella integrata che supporta OpenGL 2.1, e quella dedicata che supporta OpenGL 3.0; il risultato infatti è stato che usando la prima non si avviava, invece con la seconda il gioco si avvia senza problemi, sia cliccando su file “PRO.x86_64”, dopo averlo reso eseguibile, che eseguendolo da terminale.
Pertanto ti consiglierei innanzitutto di verificare la versione di OpenGL supportata dalla tua scheda video:
Se la versione riportata è minore di 3.0, è confermato che il problema è quello, e probabilmente ti ci vorrà una scheda video più recente.

che scheda video hai usato? Da quello che ho potuto vedere, per avviarsi il gioco in questione richiede una scheda video che supporti almeno OpenGL 3.0: ho provato ad avviarlo su un portatile con doppia scheda video, quella integrata che supporta OpenGL 2.1, e quella dedicata che supporta OpenGL 3.0; il risultato infatti è stato che usando la prima non si avviava, invece con la seconda il gioco si avvia senza problemi, sia cliccando su file “PRO.x86_64”, dopo averlo reso eseguibile, che eseguendolo da terminale.
Pertanto ti consiglierei innanzitutto di verificare la versione di OpenGL supportata dalla tua scheda video:

Ho trovato i requisiti minimi del gioco, c'è scritto che richiede almeno OpenGl 2.0 Mesa EGL 3D

Considera che spesso la documentazione può rimanere indietro rispetto allo sviluppo di un software (ovvero, non sempre quello che leggi vale anche per le versioni più recenti). Comunque, vedo che la tua scheda non supporta OpenGL 3.0.
In realtà ci sarebbe un modo per avviare il gioco anche così, però le prestazioni sarebbero pessime rispetto all'avviare il gioco normalmente con il supporto di una scheda video adeguata. Se nonostante ciò vuoi provare, e non hai la possibilità di usare una scheda video migliore, puoi usare questo codice (clicca su “Seleziona tutto”, copia l'intero testo selezionato, e incolla in una finestra di Terminale, così da essere sicuro di non sbagliare):
In questo modo troverai “PRO.x86_64 (slow)” nella cartella PROLINUX, e dovrai cliccarci per avviare il gioco. Visto che come già anticipato le prestazioni saranno di molto inferiori, se fai così ti consiglio di disabilitare il Fullscreen e ridurre la risoluzione al minimo o quasi, nella sezione Graphics delle opzioni del client. Potresti anche disabilitare le opzioni “Weather” e “Detailed Lighting”.
P.S.: anche con tutto al minimo, può comunque risultare più o meno lento (anche in base alle prestazioni del processore utilizzato, che verrà impegnato maggiormente avviando il client così).

Vedi l'immagine allegata:
- Aprire il gestore grafico dei file.
- Spostarti nella cartella PROLINUX, dove hai il file PRO.x86_64.
- Adesso, anziché cliccare su PRO.x86_64, doppio clicca (o clicca, a seconda delle tue impostazioni) sul file “PRO.x86_64 (slow)” che ti ho fatto generare.

Tieni anche a mente che se in futuro tu dovessi spostare per qualche motivo la cartella PROLINUX (da Scrivania/AreaDeskTop a un'altra cartella), dovrai riutilizzare quel codice, in modo che il percorso all'eseguibile del gioco venga aggiornato (altrimenti, dopo lo spostamento della cartella, il lanciatore “slow” smetterebbe momentaneamente di funzionare).
