fregatura stampante

ciao ragazzi sono propio sfigato mi si e' rotta la mia vecchia canon mp390 e ho acqustato una epson stylus dx 7400 e con rammarico ho scoperto che non riesco a far funzionare lo scanner dopo diversi aiuti si presume sia incompatibile , pensate che in un futuro non lontano possano uscire i suoi driver o si possano trovare altre soluzioni con la versione di ubuntu 7.10 grazie dei consigli :'( ???

con un amico seguendo questa avevamo installato una dx, non mi ricordo pero' il modello...

seguendo quella guida che ho provato io non ricevo le stesse risposte dal terminale guarda vedi manca qualcosa
