Samba: visualizzare solo le proprie cartelle

Ciao a tutti...

tempo fa, non ricordo più dove, ho letto che con le condivisioni samba posso fare in modo che un utente che si logga, possa visualizzare solo le cartelle a lui condivise.

Esempio: se ho 100 cartelle, e 50 sono condivise all'utente "a" e le altre 50 sono condivise all'utente "b", se mi presento come "a" visualizzo solo le 50 cartelle a me condivise...


Qualcuno sa dirmi:

1) se sta cosa è vera;
2) dove si va ad impostare questa opzione.

Nessun problema è normalissimo in genere si usa il comando valid users = nomeutente nella tabella smb.conf se si tratta di utenti Unix sl nomeutente bisogna anteporre un +. Si può usare anche il comando contrario cioè invalid users

mmm non ho capito molto da quello che hai scritto... comunque io nel file smb.conf, in fondo, ho scritto così:

però ancora non va... se entro con l'utente alessandro vedo comunque la cartella mauro...




tra l'altro, poco più sopra c'è una sezione con "valid users" che recita:

e da quello che ho capito, se rimane commentata, con qualsiasi utente ti logghi entri in tutte le directory, se invece la scommenti entri solo nelle directory a te condivise....


e fin qui... funziona ed è tutto ok


però io non solo voglio che l'utente alessandro non entri nella directory condivisa solo all'utente mauro, ma puntando il server "\\server", una volta dati utente e password, voglio che la directory "mauro" non la veda nemmeno nell'elenco delle directory condivise.

Ho provato anche a mettere il + davanti all'utente ma si comporta allo stesso modo...

mi fa autenticare a \\server e mi mostra tutte le cartelle condivise, e ovviamente posso entrare solo in quella condivisa all'utente, ma ancora una volta vedo TUTTE le cartelle condivise...

l'ho messo... diciamo che siamo a buon punto ma non è ancora quello che voglio.

adesso se punto il server \\server mi chiede l'autenticazione e quando mi autentico non vedo + nessuna cartella condivisa... invece vorrei vedere quelle in cui io posso entrare

a questo punto gli utenti dovrebbero usare smbclient per accedere, con windows non dovrebbero esserci problemi.
In pratica si crea una home per ogni client

Gli utenti che sistema operativo hanno sui loro PC? non vorrei che fosse un problema di criptazione, non tutte le versioni di Window supportano la criptazione

server: linux ubuntu 7.04
client: sempre lo stesso, tanto sto facendo delle prove: Windows XP professional


il discorso mi sa che sta solo nel file smb.conf, perchè a seconda di come lo configuro (nelle varie prove dei post qui sopra) ci sono comportamenti differenti, e in alcune prove mi chiede l'autenticazione e mi fa entrare in tutte e 2 le cartelle, in altre non mi chiede l'autenticazione e mi fa entrare in entrambe le cartelle  e in altre ancora continua a chiedermi l'autenticazione senza mai farmi entrare.
