Ciao a tutti. Sto usando Gutsy fin dalle prime uscite e devo dire che mi son sempre trovato benissimo (a parte piccoli problemi ma comprensibili visto che non è ancora definitiva).
Con la 7.04 riuscivo a usare il mio Minidisc SONY MZ-NH700 come supporto esterno (in pratica come una semplice chiavetta USB). Sonic Stage con wine non funzionava, l'installazione si fermava e i file audio erano inutilizzabili sul pc.
Ora, con la versione 7.10 di Ubuntu Gutsy e gli aggiornamenti di wine Sonic Stage funziona ma..............
gutsy pur riconoscendomi il lettore minidisc non me lo fa montare.
Appare la seguente scritta: IMPOSSIBILE MONTARE IL SUPPORTO. Probabilmente non è inserito alcun disco.

Dal comando lsusb sembra che il sistema lo riconosca.

La pirateria uccide il software libero! SE POTETE ( O MEGLIO DIRE "DOVETE")  ACQUISTATE SEMPRE LICENZE ORIGINALI!
Quando la gente si accorge ke office costa 350€ probabilmente valuterà l'uso di OpenOffice!!

Da come si presenta il problema, è come se il formato in cui è formattato il minidisc non venisse riconosciuto da Ubuntu 7.10. Mi domando come mai Feisty 7.04 invece lo vedeva ...

Riciao a tutti.
Riprendo questo mio vecchio post sull'incompatibilità di Ubuntu con un minidisc sony.
Faccio il punto della situazione partendo dal fatto che non mi spiego come mai con la versione Festy 7.04 Ubuntu mi leggeva senza problemi il contenuto del minidisc e ora invece con la versione Gutsy 7.10, no (seppure lo riconosca ma non consente di accedere ai file).
Forse qualche programmatore dello staff può darmi qualche suggerimento.
Ho fatto non so quante ricerche in rete, ma non ho trovato nessuna soluzione: ho solo constatato che quasi tutti i progetti legati a questo tipo di apparecchiature (minidisc) sono stati abbandonati.

Spero che qualcuno mi sappia dare delle dritte, ho bisogno di usarlo per registrazioni live e non e rinunciare alla qualità che offre mi scoccia. E' l'unica cosa che rende imperfetta la mia workstation con Linux Ubuntu.
