Compiz Fusion e Awn dopo aggiornamente Gutsy

Ho eseguito ieri l'aggiornamento a Gutsy dopo aver eliminato tutti i repo di 3° parti. Precedentemente avevo installato compiz fusion e avant window navigator dal repo di trevino e funzionavano egreggiamente  (incluso Compizconfig Settings Manager). Adesso dopo l'aggiornamento mi ritrovo senza avant window navigator, Compizconfig Settings Manager (che risulta essere installato ma ancora dai repo di trevino), non riesco a capire se compiz è abilitato o no...  (bad) prima avevo uno script d'avvio sia per compiz che per awn.
Quindi vorrei capire come abilitare compizfusion, far funzionare Compizconfig Settings Manager e installare awn compatibile con Gutsy. Avete qualche repo da consigliarmi?

Vai in Preferenze->Aspetto->e nell'ultima scheda cosa trovi selezionato?

stesso problema (solo con compiz fusion)

con la 7.04 ubuntu  andava tutto bene
dopo avere fatto l'upgrade automatico a 7.10 non va più


sono andato su  Preferenze->Aspetto->e nell'ultima scheda non mi fa andare su custom, ma al massimo su extra

poi ho provato a digitare

mentre, prima di installare compiz e glx su 7.04, la risposta era si
(dopo averli installati mi diceva di nuovo no)

e un problema di driver scheda video? ho una nvidia

provando a vedere se abilitati i driver nvidia ( che avevo installato su 7.04 così
