Problema con archivi RAR

Buon giorno a tutti!

Ho un guaio con gli archivi RAR. Ho provato ad aggiungere da synaptic il pacchetto rar da utilità multiverse ma non c'è proprio, quindi ho verificato che i repository fossero ok, ed infatti erano corretti. Ho aggiunto quelli che potevano mancare ma nulla.
Anche da terminale non sono stato più fortunato, provando ad installare il pacchetto rar, unrar mi dice sempre che non ce ne sono di disponibili.
Dispetato ho installato su di un muletto l'ubuntu pulita pulita, ma anche in quel caso il pacchetto che mi serve non me lo trova.
Per ora ho installato solo unrar-free, unica cosa che sono stato capace di trovare...
Qualcuno ha qualche idea di come fare? Volevo evitare di installare winrar versione linux.

Ciao, è molto strano che non trovi il pacchetto rar (ti è necessaria la versione 3.30).
Hai eseguito un update dei repository prima di cercarlo (da terminale come root esegui apt-get update)?
Se comunque non funziona, posta qui il tuo /etc/apt/sources.list e vediamo che problema ha

Mi son dimenticato di dire che ovviamente anche i repositry non ufficiali sono attivati e che ho provato tutte le varie strade presenti nelle faq, qui nel forum e presenti nella wiki, ma nulla
