[ RISOLTO] problema grafico con kubuntu

Ciao a tutti,
dunque sono passato da poco a kubuntu....senza abbandonare gnome e devo dire che mi trovo benissimo ma ho un problema che forse è già capitato a qualcuno..in maniera simile.Appena apro firefox o Konqueror mi si apre nell'angolo in basso a dx dello schermo un quadrato 3x3 pieno di righe...per farlo scomparire apro il catalyst control center cilcco ok e come per magia scomapare....per poi apparire al successivo riavvio (o apertura di finestra) di firefox..se provo a salvare  la schermata con ksnapshot l'artefatto non è presente.Concludo ovviamente dicendo che ho una ATI 9600!!! >:(....sarà come ho già letto un problema di frame buffer??

Anche io avevo questo problema con la tua stessa scheda grafica...ora è un bel po che nn si presenta! anche con me la cosa nn era evidente nello screenshot, inoltre una volta invece delle 3 righe appariva AMD testing use only driver! Hai installato da molto i driver? Non so prova ad aspettare un po di giorni e magari come successo a me il problema nn si presenta!

bhe è da 3 settimane che ho installato kubuntu e i miei driver sono gli 8.42.3 ma il problema non penso si risolva da solo :'(....maledetta ATI

a me lo fa solo intorno al mouse, come già scritto nell'altro topic  (yes)
forse è un problema di driver video ati del cavolo a questo punto...

2 strane strisce nere in basso a destra nello schermo (ho un amico che ha avuto lo stesso problema… questo mi lascia pensare che sia un problema dei driver, mi confermate?). In più alcune bande si formano talvolta anche sotto il cursore! *questo problema si verifica solo senza Compiz in esecuzione*
pare che questo problema svanisca impostando in Xorg, nella sezione Device le opzioni: (testato - basta l’opzione in grassetto, l’altra non guasta :P )

    Option “XAANoOffscreenPixmaps” “true”
    Option "DRI" "true"

Altrimenti date un occhiata a questo post (disattivare l’mtrr non è una buona idea comunque secondo me. Vi riduce le prestazioni al 40%)

sta per XAA no offscreen pixmaps

da man xorg.conf:

Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps"
              Disables accelerated draws into pixmaps stored in offscreen video memory.

e potrebbe effettivamente risolvere questi problemi..pero' si dovrebbe aggiungere nel troubleshooting come errore comune. Non tutti sono afflitti da questo problema.

no ragazzi non l'ho risolto il mio problema....io ho i driver 8.42.3 senza AIXGL o XGL compiz disattivato...aggiungendo le 2 opzioni in device non mi è più partito xserver è ho dovuto fare un bel dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg..... Divi illuminami >:(

vuoi dire che cosa?..che non hai gli effetti desktop o che hai disattivato sia aiglx che xgl?..xgl va bene..questi driver supportano appunto aiglx..ma non devi disattivare aiglx

aggiungendo le 2 opzioni in device non mi è più partito xserver è ho dovuto fare un bel dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg.

malissimo..dovevi semplicemente togliere, invece hai riconfigurato tutto il server grafico e hai re-settato lo xorg.conf..quindi hai perso tutte le modifiche fatte in precedenza

scusami Divilinux forse non mi sono spiegato o peggio non mi esprimo correttamente...dunque resettando xorg non ho visto modifiche sostanziali nel file...ovvero mi sembra uguale a prima della modifica effettuata...infatti adesso funziona tutto come in precedenza...sono stato obbligato a riconfigurare xorg poichè in modalità testuale per mia ignoranza non sono stato in grado di eliminare le 2 opzioni aggiunte..per il resto quando sono passato a Gutsy ho eliminato la sessione xgl e aggiornato i driver della mia ATI.

togliere quelle in eccesso..
comunque se non sei pratico di taglio e cucito..la cosa migliore da fare e' riparire da uno xorg.conf standard..andando poi ad inserire "fglrx" al posto di "vesa" nella section devices
