problema installazione fluxbox

buonasera stavo tentando di installare fluxbox ma quando dò

Te lo dice, cerca gli headers di X; prova ad installare libx11-dev e xlibs-static-dev.

installando quello che mi hai detto ora l'errore che mi dà è:

Se non lo è, installalo.

Perchè non fai configurazione e compilazione in modo tradizionale, senza usare auto-apt?
Se auto-apt richiedesse di essere lanciato con sudo, poi ti creerebbe i file di configurazione non accessibili all'utente.

e poi compilati fluxbox manualmente

fluxbox lo sono riuscito ad installare tramite synaptic (ho scoperto che era l'ultima versione) ma ora non so come si utilizza ho solo una barra di sotto che mi dice l'ora che devo fare?

si ho letto l'how-to ma non capisco fluxbox-generate_menu -gk lo scrivo nel terminale di gnome o di fluxbox?

I terminali, indipendentemente dal loro nome fanno tutti la stessa cosa, connettono l'utente al sistema operativo.

Puoi darlo sia su gnome-terminal, che su eterm, che xterm, o altri se sono installati.

Ho riavviato il gdm, sono entrato e posso dire che è velocissimo, un po' scarno, ma comunque utile per il mio anziano portatile.
Il problema è: Dove sono le cartelle? Non c'è nulla sul desktop!
Come posso fare?

Puoi mettere rox-filer.

Se clicchi col destro sul desktop, ti compare il menu?

Devi lanciare rox-filer, puoi farlo da terminale:

dovrebbe funzionare in entrambe le formule, ma potrebbe dipendere dall'installazione, ed eventualmente aggiungere una riga dedicata in ~/.fluxbox/menu, la mia è:

    [exec] (rox) {rox}

anche qui, dipende dall'installazione: se l'eseguibile è in /usr/bin/rox è sufficiente in questo modo, altrimenti tra le parentesi {} devi mettere il percorso completo.

i comandi funzionano tutti e due.
il problema è che mi vien fuori una finestra, e io voglio come in gnome, hde, e17, ovvero le finestre sullo sfondo.
ho aggiunto le righe che mi hai detto ma non vanno.

Una ricerca sul forum, su questa discussione trovi tutte le informazioni necessarie: http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/viewtopic.ph ... 94#p123994 ho anche allegato un mio file di menu che puoi copiare e modificare a tuo piacimento.

perchè anche quando utilizzo fluxbox...ubuntu utilizza anche la swap!
