Problema monitor Acer AL1716 + Ati Radeon 9250

Ciao a tutti...Ho avuto la sfortuna di comprare separatamente questo monito e questa scheda video, entrambi non totalmente supportati da Linux...Leggendo guide e forum vari ho scoperto che Ubuntu 7.10 con il driver Ati supporta pienamente anche la mia scheda, ma ogni volta che provo a modificare il driver, al riavvio il monitor mi da "Input not supported"...Subito ho pensato fosse un problema di scheda video, ma leggendo su internet ho scoperto che è un problema di monitor...Qualcuno può aiutarmi a configurare sto benedetto monitor? Perchè tra l'altro nell'interfaccia grafica della selezione monitor il AL1716 è l'unico che manca!!! Grazie mille a tutti

anche io ho monitor come il tuo, e mai è stato colpevole e difficilmente lo sarà. non risulta nelle sigle è vero, forse è una partita importata o altro. Provato con ati x1600pro, nvidia 7600 e altre ancora di pc di amici che sistemavo e non ha mai dato segni di colpevolezza. A mio parere devi configurarti bene X, magari per la tua scheda ci sono settings specifici. Se provi a usare il driver vesa e non ati cosa succede? funge?

Esatto...E' proprio quello il problema...Con il driver Vesa funge, con il driver ati no...Ho provato davvero in tutti i modi...Ora ho X configurato con il driver vesa, se no mi da:"Input not supported", comunque ti posto la configurazione che avev scritto per il driver ati:

L'ho fatta con l'apposito comando per riscrivere X, e non riesco a trovare nulla che non vada, ho pure messo roba aggiuntiva nel monitor...
