Ciao ragazzi, vado subito al sodo...ecco il mio problema...
Ho installato i driver per la mia ati radeon 9800 SE seguendo ogni passo di wiki... solo che continua a tenermi i driver mesa...che nn vanno per niente bene...come posso fare???

o li cambi manualmente nel file /etc/X11/xorg.conf (sotto la voce "Device"), oppure riconfiguri xorg tramite il comando dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

di preciso non so, comunque il nome dei driver che hai installato, che di solito per le ati sono o "ati" o "radeon"....

ad esempio se prima era così:

grazie sono riuscito a impostarli...ora funziona ttuto bene tranne una cosa...
per senmpio gli effetti rimangono su nuessuno, nn posso ativare ne i normali ne gli extra...mi dice che con possono essere attivati...

nessuno sa come risolvere il mio problema??? nn mi si attivano gli effetti grafici...eppure i driver funzionano e il rendering 3d funziona...

ho scoperto avviando compiz di nn avere un xgl isntallato, ma solo i mesa..quindi come faccio per installare xgl???

nessuno sa dirmi come posso fare per attivare sti benedetti effetti grafici??? su ubuntu nn ho internet...devo scaricare da windows quindi la guida che mi avete dato nn va bene...

ora finalmente sono passato completamente a ubuntu...mi serve windows solo per internet...però mi piacerebbe avere effetti grafici su ubuntu...prima con i driver open source li avevo però la risoluzione nn era giusta e si vedeva tagliato...invece con i driver ati si vede perfettamente solo che nn ho effetti grafici di alcun tipo... :'(
