Ciao,
Ho cercato di trovare una soluzione al mio problema ma non ci sono riuscito.
Dopo il passaggio da Gutsy ad Hardy non riesco più a collegarmi con la rete wireless.

Ciao,
In effetti con i nuovi driver per la ipw3945 bisogna abituarsi perchè ti crea le 2 intefaccie.
Controlla di avere attivato i "Restricted Driver" sulla interfaccia e carica i driver "iwl" e non "ipw"

sudo modprobe iwl3945
Successivamente (se non lo è già) prova a metterla in "UP" con:
sudo ifconfig wlan* up (wlan* è il nome interfaccia)
controlla la situazione con:

Per vedere se ora viene caricata.

Se hai un notebook i led del wireless non funzionano più, a mè personalmente viene riconosciuta (anche se ho messo il modulo in Black-list perchè uso altri dispositivi Wireless)

Ti ringrazio per la risposta, ma anche se ho fatto mille prove non riesco a caricare i drive.
Sono sempre al punto di partenza...non esiste la scheda wireless sul mio portatile.
Tornerò al mio vecchio S.O.

L' interfaccia la deve vedere, fai un'altra prova per curiosità

Riavvia il sistema con l'interfaccia col wireless ATTIVO
Anche perchè questi sono i nuovi driver definitivi che saranno usati da Hardy, già implementati nei nuovi  "compact-wireless"

io ho la tua stessa identica periferica e mi ha funzionato sin dall'inizio senza nessun problema (non usa driver 'ristretti' infatti nella lista dei restricted drivers c'è solo la scheda grafica nVidia)... hai provato a fare un'installazione da zero?
