[Risolto da solo] Video lenti con VLC mentre è attivo Compiz Fusion

Ho un piccolo problema soprattutto con VLC (ma lo fa anche con Totem): qualsiasi tipo di video se lo metto a schermo intero o anche solo se metto VLC massimizzato, si vede a scatti! Come faccio a farli vedere normalmente?

Ho Ubuntu 8.04...comunque non può essere colpa della scheda video perchè addirittura su Windows con VLC si vedono bene e anche nelle precedenti versioni di Ubuntu (7.04 e 7.10) non ho mai avuto problemi di questo tipo!

io ieir ho avuto una bottazza di cXXo
l'ho lanciato da terminale, ho scritto "vlc" e mi ha dato un errore. l'errore era qualcosa che cozzava con il tema scelto per il mio computer, l'ho cambiato e vlc funziona

LOL che fortuna in effetti!
Io invece scrivo VLC sul terminale,ma parte come se niente fosse,con nessun errore....è quando vedo i video che si presenta il problema  :'(

hai messo tutti i valori dell'audio su alsa?
anche a me andava a scatti e muto, però l'altro ieri ho installato un primo aggiornamento e pare che il problema è andato via.
inoltre se riavviavo il sistema potevo vedere DivX e ascoltare mp3 per qualche ora.

ti do la mia sources list, magari non hai abilitato gli stessi aggiornameni che ho scaricato io:

Ehm...guarda che l'audio va perfettamente,anzi è l'unica cosa di VLC che va bene!
Sono solamente i video che si vedono scattosi a tutto schermo e con la finestra di VLC massimizzata...comunque ho settato ALSA!

Ho scoperto la fonte del problema!
Praticamente disattivando completamente Compiz Fusion,VLC va a meraviglia,senza nessuno scatto,sia a finestra massimizzata che a schermo intero!

Esiste quindi una specie di patch per far si che VLC funzioni bene anche mentre è attivato Compiz?

Raga ho incredibilmente risolto!  (good)
è bastato disinstallare completamente VLC e Compiz-Fusion,per poi reinstallarli successivamente
